Advertiser & affiliate disclosure
Plain answers about how this site makes money. Last updated July 4, 2026.
The short version
Some outbound links on PhotoLib are affiliate links: if you click one and then buy, subscribe, or start a trial, the vendor pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — sometimes affiliate links carry a discount. This is our only revenue source.
What this does and doesn't affect
Commissions never influence scores, rankings, or verdicts. The mechanics that enforce this: our 38-point scorecard is completed before anyone checks a vendor's affiliate status; vendors cannot pay for placement, reviews or "premium listings"; and negative findings ship regardless of commercial relationships — you'll find documented flaws on every review page, including our Editor's Choice picks.
Not every vendor we recommend has an affiliate program. When a tool without one deserves a top spot, it keeps the spot and we earn nothing from that recommendation.
Which links are affiliate links
Assume that "Visit Site", "Start free trial" and similar vendor-pointing buttons may be affiliate links. Links to standards bodies, documentation, and other editorial references are not.
